Concrete Coping Stones
Concrete coping stones are designed to enable seamless water runoff on walls. They act as a ‘cap’ that is installed on the top of the wall and have a slightly sloped shape, ensuring water doesn’t touch the wall beneath, preventing issues like mould and moss buildup over time. It can even help protect against freezing elements such as frost.
Why choose concrete coping? Concrete is often precast in typical sizes, making it quick to install. It is commonly used in both residential and commercial gardens to match the existing walls and provide a clean, neat finish. It can also be installed on parapet walls, which are low walls found around the edges of flat roofs and balconies.
Concrete coping comes in different styles known as ‘once weathered’ and ‘twice weathered’. This refers to the pitch or shape of their slope. Once weathered slopes in a single direction, whereas twice weathered allows water two slopes to runoff. These are best suited to walls that are constantly exposed to rainfall from every side.
